With funding from UNFPA The Gambia through the Human Security Project, NCCE concluded the ย Training of Local and traditional authorities on the Inclusion and Participation of Women and Youths in The Local Decentralized Structures.
This training program aims to empower local and traditional authorities with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote the active inclusion and participation of women and youths in local decentralized structures.
At the heart of any just and equitable society lies the principle of gender equality and youth involvement. We believe that every voice should be heard, and that’s why we’re stepping up our discussion on the importance of including women and youth in decision-making processes
It was implemented in all the administrative areas across the country, targeting Traditional leaders, Village and Ward Development Committees, women, and youth leaders with a view to fostering more inclusive and responsive governance at the community level.
The enthusiasm, dedication, and passion displayed by all participants throughout this transformative journey were truly overwhelmed. Together, we’ve taken significant strides towards building more inclusive and vibrant local communities.
